Yesterday at Dave the Grave's fabulously presented and very informative lecture, the suggestion that a Christmas event would be interesting would be well supported. So here goes:

A morning of Leica photography around Manchester, starting at 9:30 for 10:15 on Sunday 16th December at the Castlefield Museum coffee shop and concluding with a Xmas lunch at 2pm in The Ox in Castlefield ?

A table reservation is required, so early indication, or better still a definite 'YES' vote, will help.

As nothing is firm yet, the arrangements can be altered (to meet flight times from Malta etc).

Post early for Christmas.

I assume that you welcome 'foreigners' from over the border.... I have therefore voted 'yes' for the meal.

I should be able to get from Porthmadog to Manchester by 10.00 without leaving too early.

Look forward to putting names to faces... (or possibly vice-versa!)

There are no 'foreigners' in this international LUF city.

I'm awaiting confirmation from Stuny that Manchester is on his itinery for December 16th.

Ivan the Clock can't come 'cos he hasn't got the time.

Would I dare not ?

Might be worth asking the moderator to add a lunch count Poll, do you think?

I booked 8 places and no prob to add a couple, but this is starting to take off.

Stunsworth - can you remember what time is morning coffee available from in the Museum cafe? Will the M8's get a mid-morning recharge there ?

Hi Rolo, the cafe opens at 9am, details here...

Visiting us | Shopping or eating? | Recharge Cafe | MoSI

Like a good boy scout I'll be coming prepared - two batteries for the M8, so no need to steal electricity. Though the cafe is appropriately named for those that need to <grin>

A very kind Mod has edited the Poll.

Unfortunately, the system thinks that you have already voted on this thread, even though all votes have been cleared.

We'll have to do it the hard way.

My hand is "UP"

Hi Andy - I assume it's you that set up the poll - I can't vote because it's saying I've already voted. Presumably that's the earlier attendee poll that it's 'remembering'.

Opps, just seen your response.

Hand up!

As I said above, the system knows that you have already voted on a poll on this thread, so won't let you vote again.

Is it too late to have the old one back then ? I liked the colours.

Only asking. Not too much trouble, I hope. Don't bother just for me.

I presume that any new enrolments will show, so if I add those to the the ten that had voted and the four possibles, that makes ...... ten and four possibles, ....... plus Dave the Grave & Sarah ...... that makes ten and six possibles.

Have to get Steve the Gadget to write us a programme.

Thank you for your enquiry Mr Falstaff. Coffee will be fine, but lunch is difficult, ..... you'll understand, we're phasing out film-only users. They're not viable in the long term I'm afraid. It's called progress.

Are you automatic, or manual?

Top table is for two M8's, then one M8, but two batteries...... Bar stools for the Panasonic twins. Perhaps a corner table can be made available for you M7 users.

I am actually flattered that you would let me have coffee, and now, rather begrudgingly, you are offering me a corner table – would that be standing or do I get a stool?
I would have thought that like all good and professional chauffeurs, I would be sitting in my car, outside the different venues waiting to drive the Chairman around the place. The best I could have hoped for would be some kind soul bringing sustenance out for me.
Falstaff

ps when you ask "Are you automatic, or manual?" I assume you are referring to my car, yes it is automatic.
Panasonic twins? are they identical? not sure I have met them.

Dear Falstaff, "automatic or manual" was referring to your M7. It was a trick question.

One of the Panasonic twins was at the Chester meet. Her sister will be there on the 16th, no doubt.
