Rolo said "There used to be a ride at the Butlin's fairground in Pwellheli called the Mouse (Pete will have a dozen pics of it). It terrified me, but not as much as the BMW bearing down on my rear passenger door".

Yeah well, I just wanted to know what you were made of - not impressed. Besides, it was not the rear passenger door but the passenger one ie yours. Did not want to air this here, but you force me - your seat needed a good clean afterwards.
Next time, if there is one, bring a crash helmet and body armour OR walk.

Hmmmm, I know the Ox, been there a few times. Manchester City are also playing on the Saturday at home and I've not been to the new ground yet..........I'm tempted to pop up for the weekend and join you.

Doesn't the Ox have accomodation? If not there's a Travellodge about 15 mins walk away (and about 2 mins from a rather good Leica dealer <grin>)...

Travelodge - Hotels in Manchester with Travelodge Hotels - Manchester Central

Lots of other hotels too of course.

OK Leica Lovers.

I've made the booking for 8 camera swingers based on the interest so far. If you haven't made your mind up yet it won't be a problem until the week before, I suspect.

So, it's on. My depositi's on the line. Dave the Grave and Sarah can join us for 2pm 'forks at the ready' if they so choose (let me know).

EarlyDoors is welcome even though he's a City fan.

Cocker is AWOL. Fielden is welcome if it still works.

If David Stephens reads this he's welcome to fund a bottle (David, this is the guy you share your secrets with! Salford Royal exhibiion .... etc Ha). Got my IR filters yet?

9:30 am for 10:15am at the Museum.

I'll be there.

Now I really must get back to sewing the sequins on my party frock.

Hi Ivan, the letters stand for Absent WithOut Leave. It was originally a military term for people who left their post without permission.

Keith, but what IF reindeer antlers are mandatory? Does that mean you wouldn't be coming then? Your acceptance was 'conditional' and that's no acceptance at all, is it?

Steve's in his sequined frock, Falstaff in his chauffeur's uniform, you with a full set of antlers .... we all have to make an effort at this time of year.

Perhaps Keith would be happier if he came in a reindeer suit? Then his antlers wouldn't look so stupid and he'd be a little less conspicuous.

Thank you for the invite. I would love to attend. Unfortunately I cannot stay for lunch. But the coffee and the photography would be great.

Oh....it better had still work.

Look forward to meeting you all.

Graeme

PS Is there anything planned for before then?

Everyone is welcome.

No need to wear a reindeer suit - of course you'll stand out if you don't - it's what everyone in Manchester wears at that time of year - and I'd think it certain that the Ox would offer a veggie option. Perhaps Rolo can confirm?
