To all, who will attend: Please send me the filled out registration. We must know, who wants to attend which part of the program. This is important for the places in the restaurants, we have to book, the factory tour and a little gift-package we give every member of our meeting!
Thanks, I'm looking forward to our meeting! Robert (Sorry for my English...) |

I booked flights today and will send off registration tomorrow.
Does anyone know anything about getting from Frankfurt-Hahn to Solms/Hessenpark? Looks a bit out of the major routes, so maybe renting a car at the airport is the best option. |

thanks for Your registration. To call Hahn "Frankfurt" is bad joke, because they are really over 120 km road to drive from Hahn to Frankfurt-Airport. From Hahn to Leica / Solms You have to drive ca. 140 km. It should be the best choice to rent a car, because the connection with the train is very difficult, you have a long time to wait on the stations and the "journey" leasts about 6 hours! Perhaps You contact Carl Brettville, who also comes from Oslo to our meeting. Robert Last edited by rohi : April 27th, 2008 at 10:19 AM. |

I did a route planner and I saw that public transport is next to imossible. I will contact Hertz and rent a car. Raises the cost a little bit, but Ryanair is less than Euro 100 return including all taxes etc.
I just got confirmation from Landhotel Velte. I believe Carl Bretteville has booked there also. |

Hi All,
I had put myself down as only a maybe, but it looks like I'll actually get to attend. I'm jazzed (as they say). At first it looked doubtful as the dates of the meeting conflict with a conference my wife has to attend in Italy. (Poor girl, when we go to Europe, she has to work.) But we arranged for a nanny, so it looks like I'm free. Later this week, I'll have time to do some trip planning. I'll be coming from Milano. Any recommendations as to the best way to get to Solms? Fly into Hahn? Frankfurt? Train from Milano? To those of you who are renting cars, what are the chances of negotiating a shared ride? Michael, your offer of a lift is very kind. Where in relation to Solms is Taunus? Thanks in advance for any advice. Brent |

Hi Brent,
from Milano I would take a train to Frankfurt/Main main station. From there, you have a very good connection to Bad Homburg. And from the station Bad Homburg someone of us will pick you up and take you to your hotel in the Taunus. From Neu-Anspach to Solms on Friday are enough of us to take you with us! Robert |
