International User Meeting / Hessenpark near Solms / June 13th-15th 2008
Dear all,
Robert Hill of the German Forum and I are planning a forum meeting next summer (June 13th - 15th). We already booked a place where several German user meetings took place: The Way Around - Open-Air Museum Hessenpark It's a great open air museum in a beautiful landscape with lots of events going on - that weekend iron casting will be demonstrated. Some images of the location: Fotoarchiv für die Presse - Freilichtmuseums Hessenpark The Dalai Lama enjoyed the Hessenpark too  Besucheransturm: Herzlicher Empfang für den Dalai Lama | Nachrichten | hr We have no detailled program until now but it's not too far from Leica Camera in Solms (we'll try to organize a factory tour including a visit of the Leica Shop) and the Frankfurt Airport. Frankfurt is the biggest hub in Europe after Heathrow, IIRC. But if prices are better, there are lots of flights from the UK (Heathrow/Gatwick for example) to Frankfurt.

OK, now we're some steps further - we have
- Support from Leica (Factory tours, equipment rental for free, participation in discussions) - A program over three days - Great workshops (still growing) - Some sponsors ... and: the official program including the registration form: Programm_en_v2.pdf I'm looking forward to seeing some of the International forum members! I'm already on leave at the beginning of June & its also a busy time at work. But maybe.......

Maybe you guys if you come to Frankfurt you would be happy to get a lift from airport to Taunus.
