Apologies from me regrettably this time. Photographic duties with my local club!
I must organise a meet really in the South, like in darkest Hampshire one day! Have fun everyone. |

Well, it was grand to see everyone today. I did comment on the "North-South Divide"... Our fellow Forum members from north of St Albans may plan to climb up mountains and ford mighty lakes, but we got plenty of exercise negotiating the closures on the tube network and going to and from the bar...

If it's any comfort to you, I continued my subterranean odysseys for the day and went to Jermyn Street and it's environs. Not a single suitable gentleman's photographic briefcase...

Nice to meet up with you all yesterday - thanks for making the effort to attend.
If I've got it right we had woodda, gabriel, robert_parker, spylaw4, michael_boylan, bill, ian748, and ejd. An interesting collection of cameras appeared from containers of various sorts. Berlin next!

I had hoped to make this but didn't commit as we were getting back from two weeks on the Isle of Wight Friday evening and then heading off to Chartres for four weeks tonight. I had it all worked out but unfortunately on our arrival home Fri evening found we had had burglars.
So the plan for yesterday went right out the window! Next time....... |

Sorry to hear about the burglars - hope you didn't lose too much of importance. As you say - next time.

Andy - unlucky about the burglars - hope you haven't lost too much of value
Bill - outward journey from Paddington to Blackfriars, 90 minutes, Leicester Square to Paddington return - 15 minutes.... Nice to see everyone on the day !! Here's a pic of a few of the attendees... 4-from-London.jpg

My twopence worth.
John and Brian in deep political discussion. Or maybe it was something to do with cameras. M6/35/Fujichrome 070909_Cambridge02.jpg |

Gee thanks Michael - definitely not the most flattering of images!
So I'll return the 'compliment' below: Gabriel: What on earth is Michael up to? 20070901_1336_1D.jpg Michael: I"m fiddling with this lens! 20070901_1339_1D.jpg Meanwhile Bill and John are waiting to see who'll grab the pint first! 20070901_1302_1D.jpg

It was great to see everyone. Excellent reminders of the gathering with all the splendid photos. From my side of the table it looked like this:
blackfriar_a.jpg Taken with a IIIc with a 28mm F2.0 Nikkor AI lens attached, Kodak P3200 exposed at EI 1000, Ilford DDX developer. blackfriar_b.jpg The Blackfriar has a stunning interior: blackfriar_c.jpg |
