Frage Leica Users in North Wales?

I know that Cambrian Photography in Colwyn Bay has sold a number of D2s and DMRs, and numerous Rs and Ms, in the past couple of years.

How many of the owners of these cameras subscribe to the Forum - are there enough of us to set up a meeting? There are plenty of photogenic locations we could use.

I can see North Wales from my house, only get Welsh television and have bought from Cambrian in the past (very helpful people - I went in for a filter and ended up spending £400... )

Conwy is 45 minutes from our house, so a meet around there, or Betws-y-Coed or somewhere similar would be good for me.

I'm a PhD student in Aberystwyth (not North Wales, I know).

It doesn't look as though there are many members of the forum living in North Wales, so my idea is a bit of a non-starter. Maybe those of us who do live here should flag up interesting events as/when they occur and suggest joint attendance.

The week beginning 15 July is particularly difficult for me as I am busy acting as chaperon to a video crew on the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland railways on 18, 19 and 20 July and have an FR 'marketing team' meeting on 21 July.

Don't ever retire! You'll only end up being even busier than before and not getting paid for it...

I live in Greater Manchester, but I used to go on Holiday in Rhyl when I was a nipper, does that count?

I could make a get together in say Conway on Sunday the 16th of July. Anyone interested?

Wish I'd seen this sooner, I'm available on 17th &18th July. Have a 3 bedroom static caravan near Betws-y-Coed. Will be on the Watkin path shooting the waterfalls.

I've only just seen this thread. I'm in Cheshire so I'd be up for anything in north Wales if it ever comes off.

Hi Jim, there's a proposed meeting in Manchester on the 13th of this month - see the relevant thread in this section.

At the moment only two of us have signed up, but everyone's welcome :-)

Yeah I saw that Steve, but I think it's gonna be a no go for me on that date.

Maybe next time
