Hey everyone!
I am new to NYC and only know a few people around here so am looking to meet some folks. So I thought what better way to do that then to meet up with some folks who share a hobby with me. So, is anyone in the NYC area interested in meeting up and going out shooting and/or doing a portfolio comment/critique? If interested let me know via this thread by leaving a date that works for you as well as what part of the area you live in. I will try to organize a time and location that works best for most. Thanks! |

I echo the welcome to NYC.
It's a wonderful place for photographers, and ultimately a great teacher. Feel free to drop me a line, I'm traveling quite a bit for work now, but always interested in meeting and talking with people who share this ob..uh, hobby.

Just got back from a week vacation in NYC. Took along my MP and 35 Summicron asph and 75 Summilux. You native New Yorkers are lucky, NYC is definitely the best place I've ever seen for street photography. Christian, you're going to love the photo ops you run across.

I'm from southern CT and usually find myself in Manhattan at least once a month bumming around. I just joined the Leica family and soon enough I'll have a kit to come play with. Shoot me an email if you guys are getting together any weekend, pappas.gregory@gmail.com. These next few weeks I'm going to be traveling but starting in June I'll be game!

I'm interested in meeting up for feedback on prints - especially since I've not been making prints, just posting on Flickr, and have been advised to join a "feedback" group if I want to get better. I want to get better.
I have an M8 and one lens: elmarit 28mm/2.8. I'm free at various times and live in Manhattan. Also comparing M8 shooting notes - and talking about equipment (lenses, flash) would be good. Here's a suggested date: Wednesday early evening, May 23. Anyone interested? Want to suggest a place in Manhattan? Last edited by Susan_NYC : May 11th, 2007 at 09:55 PM. Reason: make date bold |
