Southwold?
Aldeburgh? Anywhere on that Suffolk coast is interesting, in a Suffolk way. Dungeness? Ryde?

Dorset: Durdle Door on the Isle of Purbeck, near Poole. (It's not actually an island, it's part of the mainland.)
Durdle Door Dorset You'll also have Lulworth Cove, Swannage, Stair Hole, and Corfe Castle nearby with good views of The Blind Cow, and Bat's Head from Dungy Head. A very pleasant part of the world. Pete.

Dungeness. Amazing place. I try to stop off there whenever I'm travelling home from Dover.

Wales might be more than 175 miles from London.
The Gower's beautiful. How about Cromer? Or Chesil Beach? Le Touquet?

I went a bit more local as missed the clocks changing. I went to Little Hampden which has some great pubs and walks. PS I hope to use the suggestions very soon though
Thanks all |
