Ausrufezeichen NW Eng, next venue- Liverpool? New thread!!

The old thread seemed inappropriate so: any suggestions for dates- Sundays seem to be favourite. No doubt your diaries are filling up as fast as, erm...., fast things.
Sunday 15th April? Holocaust Martyrs Remembrance Day, btw.
If poss, I'd like to take in this:

National Trust | 59 Rodney Street

but we would have to make prior arrangements. Max six persons per tour but tours start every 15 mins, so we could manage it; "no photography", well that may be a problem for those noisy M guys but I'll use the D2 in steath mode .

The way things are going we could have 15+ folks on parade.

Please throw up alternative dates, folks.

Pete,

15th April is fine for me. Rodney Street looks good too.

OK here too, probably.

I will check to see whether the Philharmonic does lunch on a Sunday.

There does seem something ironic about not being able to take photographs in a photographer's studio :-)

Regarding alternative dates I'd be available on the 4th or 22nd of April - I think they're both Sundays - as I'm in France over Easter. But if I can't make the decided date have a good time and post some piccies.

Yes, I go out the day before Good Friday and come back on the sunday of the meeting. If the weather's good I may take a detour to Dunganess on the drive from DOver to London. So whatever happens I'll be snapping at the same time as you guys <grin>

I meant the 1st rather than the 4th by the way as being one of the other Sundays I'll be available.

Pete, that's ok for me. But if everyone prefers the 15th hold it then - not being there would make it easier to be bitchy about the posted photographs :-)

I've been in touch with the National Trust re visiting the Chambre-Hardman studio. Max party size is six but tours start every 15 minutes. I will need to book in advance as soon as possible. Could those interested, who have not yet responded please do so as soon as?

The studio is right next to the Anglican Cathedral and just around the corner from the Philharmonic Pub, which is nice.

Sunday 22nd April looks to be the date.

Still no photos though...?

I'll be OK, I think.

No photos allowed. Seems a bit strange for a photographers studio :-). As far as I'm aware photography is now banned inside all NT properties - at Styal Mill this was for 'conservation' reasons according to the sign at reception. I've also been told it's for security reasons, of course they're happy to sell you a CD of images.

Some while back I asked "them", or is that "us", (seeing as we have had family membership for a very long time) what one had to do to become a "National Trust Photographer", the answer (eventually) was unconvincing and was clearly drafted by someone who had not the slightest knowledge of UK copyright law.
This has now become something of a challenge, how many silent interior shots can I grab in a year with my D2? Of course, this would not be possible with one of those noisy M cameras!

Photography was allowed inside Styal mill last year provided you filled out and signed a form agreeing to their conditions. By signing the form you were handing them copyright on any images that you made for them to be able to use in any way they saw fit.
