Photokina Cologne Meeting

I have raised a poll in the German forum under "Forumstreffen" to find out how many people will be on the Photokina either on SEP 27th or the Saturday after.

Assembling point would be at LEICA. Would be great to meet international members as well. So if you're there on SEP 27th or 30th pls push the button and leave a quick message.

I hope to attend on the weekend to have a look at the new digtial M and decide if to stick with Leica or move over to others after 20 Years.

I also hope that it will be a place to compare the lenses from Nikon and Canon as there has been suppliy problems recently preventing this.

Using the higher math my public school teachers so arduously pounded into me, I rapidly deduced that by NOT attending this year's Photokina and by selling a few odd Leica bits and pieces, I could afford the entry price of one M8 body.

(I won't disclose to my wife all the computer memory and storage upgrades this new creature will force us to buy until AFTER she likes the new electric Leica.)

I won't be there but here's hoping that y'all have a great time anyway!

I'm there on the 26th... From London, a day trip to Cologne may be global warming but it's about the price of a new lens hood for a 21mm Elmarit-M.
