William,
I like those cases. I noticed that they make one for the M5; do you own it? If so, have you been happy with it? My M5 is one of those side-only two strap types. Though I don't mind it, I like the way this case holds the M5. Is the field of view selector switch obstructed in anyway in this M5 case? Respectfully, Thomas W.

Thanks Anthony. Yes it's a Luigi half case. The Kameraleder looks nice as well. I do find the cases slow me down when changing film, and I would only use it on this black MP for more leasure shooting. I don't use cases on my other Ms.

Anthony,
I don't own the first Leica bag I ever bought. You try kit until you find something which works for you. The stuff George makes is harder to get, but the quality is the same as the Leica bodies and you don't need to use the body strap lugs which can, over time, develop light leaks.Thomas, My cameras stay in bags until I'm shooting with them. The M5 mainly stays out of harm's way if you use the side straps. Can't comment on the cases. Never used a "never-ready" case... My M7 really needs the half case for protection and for grip when I use it with larger lenses. The MP is in a pouch when I travel with one camera and often wears only a wrist strap because it's relatively compact with only a 35/2 mounted, which is more or less welded on. :-) Fogg Specialist Bags - photographic bags and camera cases You live and learn..., at least SOME do. ![]()

Anthony,
Not familiar with that one because I use a b-Major and the tension on the strap tends to keep the flap firmly engaged. Had it for three years. Suggest you mail "bee" and describe the problem. She will doubtless offer to repair it/correct the problem. "Nigel & bee" foggbags@wanadoo.fr

This is just to confirm what William said about the cases from George of Kameraleder. I bought one from George for my IIIg last year, and it is the best everready case I've ever seen. Quality of workmanship is on par with the old hand-stitched Leica cases, but the leather is of a higher, more supple and wonderfully smelling quality. Expensive, but worth it.

The black painted MP is for the eye and the senses a benefit it to be looked at. That is left the intensive use its beautiful traces, was for me a temptation. I had for a long time considered whether I was to decide for these. But the hammer blow had then particularly done it to me nevertheless. Kind regards and a good new year Wolfgang |

Hello Martin,
A really artful presentation is there successful you. A MP is suitable evenly also for photographing. In this case more than with dignity to become even the subject of the photography. I find very beautiful admission. And the Luigi halfcase is first cream. Kind regards and still another good new year. Wolfgang (Leica MP) |
