Ive been happily useing the scanner with pretty good results useing the software that came with it.
Recently I had some 35mm film processed that came back in strips of 6 frames, up too now id been scanning 4 frames. The strips are perfectly cropped but when trying too acquire the thumbnails the scanner complains that there are more than 6 frames and wont scan. i tried setting the software to its default settings, tried a differant strip but no luck. Any ideas? |

Strips of 6 should be ok - I have the same scanner.
My first step would be to download the trial version of Vuescan and use that to try and scan one of the strips, just to see if there really is a problem with the scanner.

I'v never had this problem with the Nikon software on my Coolscan V but just recently i'v changed over to VueScan and would surgest you try that out as it could just be a software problem you have.
Try downloading the free trial version of VueScan and see if that works, I don't have the link but i'm sure any search engine will take you to their download site. Best of luck. Noel |
