Lens Compatibilty for R bodies
Forgive me if this has been answered but didn't see it as i searched. I'm very new to considering a Leica film body. I'm leaning towards an R (not sure which one yet - budget is a consideration). One of the questions I have is - are all Leica R lenses compatible with all Leica R bodies? If so - Great!, If not - is there a resource somewhere that lines it out?

No they aren't. Early Leicaflex models aren't able to take R only or ROM lenses without modification. Also 1 & 2 cam lenses can damage the ROM contacts of the R8-9 series. There's a good explanation at Photoethnography.com home page - a resource for photoethnographers
