Default Adox CHS 100

On my list of films to try before I die is Adox CHS 100 or Efke KB100 as was. I have just ordered a batch and would be interested in hearing from anyone using this film or any tips for using? I will be developing in APH09.

Andy

Andy,

It's a nice film. I've used it quite a bit. Only thing to be prepared for is occasional quality control slips. You do very infrequently find some blemishes in the emulsion but nothing that can't be sorted with Photoshop Here are some examples

Thank you Keith. I'm looking forward to trying the film now. I like them all but #3 is nice.

I have a test of all 3 Adox 'ART' emulsions on my blog, her is the 100:
Adox CHS 100 'ART'
They are good films nice tonally, slightly grainier than modern film.
Hope that helps.
Mark

Mark thank you that also helps as does the piece on the CHS 50 ART. More useful info there that I will revisit.

My nine year old son was intrigued by the Coffee developer so guess what we are brewing this weekend! He has one of my CL's and a roll of Classic Pan 400 loaded and will spend this week's half-term holiday shooting.
