hookonclassic Posted October 24, 2009 Share #5 Posted October 24, 2009 The success of M3 is not by coincident. Simply a beauty. A camera that can be handled down generation to generation. I like the bright solid frame line and 0.91 VF is perfect for 50mm and 90mm focal length. Please pardon me for showing a lens not in line with her age (born in 1963). earleygallery Posted September 4, 2012 Share #9 Posted September 4, 2012 There has (is) been an I love my M3 thread already, search for it. I didn't love my M3 and swapped it for an R3. Many years later I bought an M2 which i get on much better with!
TomB_tx Posted September 4, 2012 Share #10 Posted September 4, 2012 Lots of love around for the M3 - just find the other thread. But in 1968 I looked at new Leicas and bought the M4. I still like it better than the M3 (which I now also have).

kokoshawnuff Posted September 11, 2012 Share #12 Posted September 11, 2012 Perhaps a mod can move this thread to the new sub forum? http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/film-forum/124927-i-love-my-m3.html
philipus Posted September 11, 2012 Share #13 Posted September 11, 2012 Agree. These threads should be merged. But why the main M3 thread is in the Film forum, given that the M7 / MP and Film M forum, evidently, encompasses all non-digital M, I don't know. luigi bertolotti Posted September 11, 2012 Share #14 Posted September 11, 2012 The question of the OP, thinking well, is highly rethorical... ... if one does have a M3, is because he loves it... ... has been for years, and still is, a camera with a stable and robust market.. if one does not love it (which seems IMPOSSIBLE to many... ) , selling it is easy.
