norm_snyder Posted April 10, 2014 Share #1 Posted April 10, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Tonight I started to preview some raw files in Adobe CS6 Bridge, version 5.0.2.4, which I've been using for some time with Monochrom files, and have been able to generate previews from the Raw files. I typically preview, then open them in ACR, and process in CS6. For the first time, rather than previews, I got blank thumbnails, and DNGs were described as 72 dpi jpegs. File numbers, etc., are unchanged. I am reasonably certain I didn't make any changes, although in opening the program, Bridge informed me that it was having trouble accessing the cache. I purged the cache, per Bridges recommendation, with no change. Files still open without a problem in ACR, or in Iridient Developer, without a problem, except it's hard to edit with no previews at all. Any suggestions? Thanks, in advance. Advertisement Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 Hi norm_snyder, Take a look here Problem with Bridge and Monochrom raw files. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
250swb Posted April 10, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 10, 2014 This may or may not be the same thing, but I have experienced something similar a couple of times when updating Bridge. What it has done is lose the File Type Associations (Edit>Preferences>File Type) and I've needed to go through the list again ticking boxes for the file types I want Bridge to recognise. norm_snyder Posted April 11, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted April 11, 2014 Yes, Steve. I realized that I had just updated Bridge. I'll try your fix, and go to File type. For a while I was convinced this was their way to get me to subscribe to Photoshop CC. I've been I using CS6, and have it on Disc, so if fixing the Fike type preferences doesn't work, I guess I can reinstall PS. Thanks.
