Abhinava Goswami Posted December 28, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 28, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi I recently acquire an m9 so I want to know how to make M9 dng look better in LR 5 or what are the basic things one should know or keep. Advertisement Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 Hi Abhinava Goswami, Take a look here M9 DNG. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted January 3, 2014 Share #2 Posted January 3, 2014 I would advise you to look at the instruction videos on Adobe’s site and to buy one of the many books on Lightroom.
250swb Posted January 3, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 3, 2014 Pressing the 'Auto' button and changing the colour balance defaults when in ACR can often give a clue which way to go. Steve
terrycym Posted January 3, 2014 Share #4 Posted January 3, 2014 I would play around with the black and while levels, shadows and clarity controls. Start off with the black & white level sliders and move them until you just don't get clipping
JohannB Posted January 5, 2014 Share #5 Posted January 5, 2014 There are some really good videos on youtube. In short what I do is: - Enable lens profile for the lens you used; - Adjust white balance; - Adjust exposure if needed; - Increase or decrease contrast; - Adjust highlights and shadows if needed; - Adjust white and black as needed; - If high ISO icrease noice reduction. - Crop or straighten as needed. - Convert to B&W if preferred. In general I don't need more that 20 seconds per photo. Hope this give you some idea. Johann
Jeff S Posted January 5, 2014 Share #6 Posted January 5, 2014 Get the Scott Kelby book on LR and/or watch these Julieanne Kost videos (beginning with the 'Get Started' ones). This information is not camera specific; learning your camera (and your photo skills) is another issue. Jeff
