AndyMc Posted March 30, 2013 Share #5 Posted March 30, 2013 What I didn't realise was the CS5 plugin, thought they were for Lr & Aperture... I really like six pro, so might give it a go... CFO pro is supposed to be pretty impressive also. Thanks for the link and additional codes.. A

I downloaded both the Mac and PC version. So far I have installed the Mac version. When I did that it automatically found all versions of PS, LR, and Aperture on my Mac. It didn't recognize Capture One. Thanks again.

Dave, Keep the original confirmation email from Nik. This has the link for the automatic latest download. You should be able just to download it onto your new Mac/PC. The licence allows you to use it on two computers. Just uninstall it on your old computer before decommissioning it. Can you explain the significance of this warning when applying the discount code: David Ziser Promo (Excludes 3rd party products & specials)? Nik software is a suite of plug-ins. Does it also attract 3rd party plug-ins? (Seems a little strange). Thank you
topoxforddoc Posted April 2, 2013 Author Share #11 Posted April 2, 2013 Charlie, thank you. Can you explain the significance of this warning when applying the discount code: David Ziser Promo (Excludes 3rd party products & specials)? Nik software is a suite of plug-ins. Does it also attract 3rd party plug-ins? (Seems a little strange). Thank you David I think this just means you can only have one discount code. There is another similar code northlight. It's to stop people adding multiple codes and getting it almost free. It is a suite of plugins to use with most of the major image editing suites. jip Posted April 2, 2013 Share #12 Posted April 2, 2013 Just bought it, will see how good it is!
honcho Posted April 3, 2013 Share #13 Posted April 3, 2013 ?...here is a discount code....... Thanks for that. At a discounted cost of less than £83 for the full set, it was a bargain too good to miss. I didn't need it and I won't use all of it, but worth it for SFX, Sharpener and Viveza alone. I selectively used Sharpener and Viveza on a 60" panoramic yesterday and am pleased with the result. The interfaces are reasonably easy to work with first time and control is infinite. It's a useful package at a price that effectively puts OnOne and Topaz out of the game.
k-hawinkler Posted April 3, 2013 Share #14 Posted April 3, 2013 Now that I have the Nik Collection, where, how can I read up on it how to use it? Any online documentation, books? Thanks.
honcho Posted April 3, 2013 Share #15 Posted April 3, 2013 Look at the Nik website for starters. Loads of tutorials on YouTube.
tobey bilek Posted May 26, 2013 Share #16 Posted May 26, 2013 copy the download file directly as it comes from Nik or Adobe or wherever. You will always have access no matter what the software manufacturer does. I got a new computer , Mac Pro, and Define 2 can no longer be downloaded. I mailed Nik and they checked their records and said I was eligible for free upgrade to full Nik 4 collection and they sent a link, no serial number required. Functions in CS6 and LR. I did copy the down load file and put it on an older computer where it also works. The problem with moving programs like PS is there are sorts of hidden files you probably will not find. so you need the compacted download file. jchfriis Posted August 12, 2013 Share #17 Posted August 12, 2013 Thank you so much, I tried it for 2 weeks, fell in love and have just bought it with your discount coupon. Just to make sure, I de-installed the trial version, and when I installed the full version it automatically found Aperture, Lightroom and PS Elements. k-hawinkler Posted August 19, 2013 Share #19 Posted August 19, 2013 is the code still good? I would just try it and find out if it lowers the price before you have to commit to a purchase. Lately I have been using the Nik software quite a bit from LR5 via CS6. It's wonderful. Produces excellent results. Love it.
