Magenta Cast workaround using C1 LE

I received my chrome M8 yesterday. Did the usual testing on many household objects and also went down the street at around 11pm with the Noctilux. As expected everything has the infamous cast in some fashion or an other.

I only had C1 LE that came with the camera, and like many pointed out it doesn't come bundled with profiles.

Keep in mind I did this on a Mac-Intel, but I would assume it should work with Windows too (maybe).

All you need to do is download the trial version of C1 Pro and install it. Doing that will place all the profiles contained in C1 Pro into the Library->ColorSync folder. That's it.

You can then delete C1 Pro and you'll have LE see and use all the profiles you may want to play with. As many already pointed out the Phase One P30 profile does the trick.

Did the same test on a windows machine. Works fine. All the profiles installed by C1 Pro Trial will end up in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\SPOOL\DRIVERS\COLOR.

C1 LE will see them no problem. Although, if you Uninstall C1 Pro, it will remove also the profiles, something that does not occur in OS X.

Just keep the C1 Pro Trial and use the LE bundle
