Default R 10, m9

What's the latest on the R 10, M9? Will they materialize in the next 12 months? What will they look like? Full frame??? UV/IR filters?

Your postscript quote by Chuang-Tzu is ironic...you might want to do a little "unhurried" search on the forum regarding your question(s)...then check back

According to the french mag "Chasseur d'images" (n°316) a web-conference on the M9 is planned by Leica : the 09-09-09 at 09:09 (Solms Time, I suppose).

CI editorial staff wrote today in the CI forum : "Our news are reliable".

R10 : 10-10-10 at 10:10 :-)))) ???

According to my sources it is reliable. I got the same date. (maybe the same sources ) And no, guys,no R10 -ever. The "solution" for R lenses promised by Leica will not be built by Leica.

9/9/09 is only a few months away. Is this for real? How much longer after that before the M9 hits the streets?

Any ideas on what the "solution" for R lenses will be? Unless Leica is going to discontinue manufacturing "R"lenses they really do have to come up with a solution, but short of a new camera, what could that be?

Yeah, I'm sometimes "the last to know." That's the result of being ADD :-) It's sad to see this line of lenses come to an end. I was hoping for an R10 to replace my Canon DSLR's and also because the new S2 creation from Leica will be beyond my means. I better start saving for the M9, I hope the frame lines are a significant improvement!

Lächeln M9 shown in september

Here is the translation of the "summer news" (CI n° 316, p. 9):

"....the new M will be shown in an Apple way during a "à l'américaine" (sic) show at the beginning of september ( 9/9/09 at 09h 09mn)"

There is a lot of speculation over on the Leica section of 'Get DPI' forums following reports of de-stocking of M8 and M8.2 cameras by Leica dealers in the US. Whether this is the M9 or an some other incarnation of the M8 (M8.3?) is under speculation. Apparently according to some sources it won't be full frame but increased Mpx on a 1.33 crop sensor. Who knows, it's a wait and see game, as always with Leica.

Lächeln Re: R 10, m9

people still talking about R10, but leica mentioned no more leica R, I am afraid because i put huge amount of money for my r9 dmr with many lenses, there is no more firmware update, the camera is outstanding i compared with many pro. canon and nikon with big enlargements i found no comperison, the 10 mp is good enough for 24X36 inch enlargements i could not see any pixel from very close view , i only shoot on raw dng and convert into 16 bit tiff 300 dpi .
