Do you guys think the D-Lux4 version firmware is coming anytime soon?

Quote from dpreview:

"Panasonic has announced a firmware update for its Lumix DMC-LX3 digital compact camera. Version 1.3 improves auto white balance and general performance of the camera. It also rectifies minor operational issues. The latest version will be made available for download on the 1 June, 2009."

I thought the recent update for the dlux4, version 1.2, was to improve white balance and auto focus.

I wonder what those minor operational issues could possibly be ? Were Panasonic happy about the general performance of the LX3 until now. ? Are we to assume that they are playing catch-up ?

Stand by for the usual suspects reiterating their beleif that the D-Lux4 is merely a re-badged LX-3 and that D-Lux 4 users are deluded simpletons :-)

60mm setting on startup

I'll be hoping they sort that under "operational issues" which closely enough sums up my frustration with auto startup on 24, as well as reset to 24 after review switch. It's a flaw.

As I see it, the "zoom resume" feature on their super zooms makes at least as much sense on the LX3: which user would you say is typically more likely to stick with a favoured walkaround zoom setting?
