Absolutely ecstatic!

Hello everyone,

Just over 15 years ago, I purchased my Leica M6 and Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4. Having started with a Polaroid Swinger, then Ricoh Singlex TLS, then a Nikon FTN, later a Nikon F3, I was so happy to finally have a Leica. With the advent of digital, I purchased the Leica D-Lux 2 and have loved the camera (brought back the joys of instant gratification from my Polaroid Swinger days) - despite its poor performance in low lighting and difficult use in the bright sun. I longed to use my Summilux again, but was just not moved into purchasing the M8 with all the helpful criticism, particularly in this forum. And now... the G1 (with an adapter) has arrived. I am as excited as when I first got my lens! I guess as we get older, these things are the ones that make us feel as a child! Best to all,

Isn't life wonderful? I've read such great things about the G-1 and I look forward to see how it performs for you.
