Hi everyone,
Since we are many users around the world here I thought we can in to a collaborative project and I have a suggestion. So here is the proposal. Project Abstract: We are a small community gathered by internet here from different locations of the world from different time zones. The project will be collection of photographs from participants taken at the same time. For example: One can shoot at dawn in his house and one can shoot at the street in the midday. But it will be the same time in our time zones also giving the project's name "At the Same Time". Project Goal: We have rather technical speech here about lenses and examples from them or how we can develop good setting to bw or plugins etc. I thought it would be good a idea to have more productive thread resulting with a collaborative project. Project Medium These days demand-on-publishing has come a long way and sites like lulu.com or blurb(less customizable) offers prints from 1 to thousand copies. It would be better to have a solid book of ours in our shelves rather than a web gallery. I am actually a graphic designer and can design page layout for the book rather than using templates. Or can work with other volunteers in design process. Methodology: The shooting of photo period can be determined later. It can be once a week and be collected for 3 months then goes to publish. Result: It will be a collection of works under this community(named later maybe) published periodically. Each issue can have a different subject other than "At the Same Time". I'd like to know if you are interested for a project like this so we can have a start. All suggestions are welcome. say +1 to join and send your mail to can@antrepo.org to receive flickr group invitation. here we are starting an open project. Thanks Can Pekdemir Antrepo Last edited by jahnpack : 07/23/08 at 11:40 PM. |

Hm. Interesting concept, but...
a. How come this is in the digital forum? Is film not "allowed"? b. It's a bit bad form to direct traffic to RFF, isn't it? If you are serious about it being an "open project", I suggest you host it somewhere a little less, er, narrow-minded. Regards, Bill

Everything is allowed: digital, film, polaroid, cell phone whatever I just couldn't know where to post it.
Starting a flickr group(for creative commons) so sorry about the link. I didn't want to paste it all here. Let me edit it. Open to all photographers interested. Thanks |

On Rangefinder Forum it appears to be only for Epson RD1 users.

Open to all camera users and if it was I wouldn't post it here : ) No point limiting a project with a tool.
I can't find any place for project proposals so i am sending them where i am familiar with. |

Haven't we done something very similar several times before on this forum? (At least twice to my knowledge)

"The same"
We have had two, no, three, events here which got the whole community here working together at the same time to produce something interesting.

then this is not same or unrepeatable event
collaborative projects can't be made if it's once made, you mean this is not a leica forum project or something this is rather a project about unable be in different places at the same time as an individual but able to be as a mass. i am posting this project invitation to other forums as well |

The google map reflects all those who chose to reveal their location for the 29th February event.
Before that, we had two 1st January events in 2007 and 2008.
