Default Have ebay r-eos adapter prices fallen?

I was expecting to find that these things were more expensive, but looking at ebay quickly today, I found many r-lens-to-eos-body adapters with focus confirmation advertised for prices like £13 plus postage. Have prices fallen? Are these adapters good? Most were being sold from Hong-Kong or China, but some from the UK. It seems much less than prices like Cameraquest's $175 that I've seen.

Any observations would be most welcome.

Thanks

John

The Chinese one ones have always been that price or there abouts.

The Cameraquest one is very well made, better than the Chinese ones - though whether it's $150 better is a moot point.

On the Chinese one that I had the sensor chip was glued on. It fell off after a few days. That could have been bad luck on my part.

Steve -- thanks for this info.

At least one of the sellers said they now soldered the chips to the adapters so that they do not fall off any more. I suspect your experience is par for the course.

John, that should be an improvement.

Personally at £13 I'd try one of those first before considering the Cameraquest version.

I used R lenses on digital EOS cameras for several years before buying an M8. Let me know if you have any further questions.

Yesterday I got the Roxsen adaptor (without chip) at 11£ incl. shipping. It fit and works fine on my EOS 30D, the build quality is ok and I think it just saved me 150$ :-)

Kind regards
