When I lived in the UK I used FFordes a lot - excellent service for consignment and the few items I bought rather than sold were exactly as described. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

I've also had decent experiences with MXV (always there in person) and Mifsuds too.

Although I live in the West Midlands, Ffordes are my dealer of choice. Steve Byford is extremely knowledgeable; and most of my Leica equipment, new and used, was purchased from Ffordes. Perhaps not the cheapest but certainly one of the best.
Thoroughly recommended!

Mifsuds, in an unassuming street in Brixham, Devon, is an Aladin's cave of high quality equipment, an amazing selection.

yes Mifsuds have an excellent selection but I won't shop there after a very poor experience with a faulty Summicron - trying to get a repair or refund was intensely frustrating with constant promises that the manager would call me back but never did. In the end one of the other staff took it upon himself to refund me and send a letter of apology agreeing that there was a problem with their customer service levels. This was about five years ago but once bitten etc. It's a shame as I live in devon so it's vaguely local to me!
