Default firmware upgrade digilux3

Hello all,

Can anyone please tell me if you must connect to AC power in order to perform a firmware update on the digilux3. I confess the instructions have me baffled.
Thanks in advance

I think the reason for using AC power is battery may run out of power before the upgrade is done, assuming that you don't suffer power outage while using the AC power.

I assume they are just being extra cautious that the power does not run out. If the battery is fully charged you will not have a problem. To be safe keep the charger plugged in.

I think I did mine with just the battery it is not a long process.

BUT if the power were to fail......you would have to send the camera back to Leica for software re-installation
