Default Colour Printing

Up until recently I have been using Lightroom for developing and printing. In the last few weeks I have tried Aperture's latest version,2.1 and prefer the user module part of it to LR's. However I find a HUGE difference in the printer output although using the same printer and settings. I have always found printing out one's work, compared to what's on the screen, a bit hit or miss, although with LR I finally managed to get acceptable results.
I am using an Epson Stylus Photo R2400 and have had the printer and screen calibrated....
and Mac OS 10.5.2
Any recommendations would be most welcomed...thanks.

Default Re: Colour Printing

Do you have a custom printer profile? Are you using Aperture's ability to use it for soft-proofing, as imperfect as it is? Is your monitor calibrated and profiled?
