which zoom R lens fits the digilux 3

Have been looking at zoom lenses for this camera. Possibly the new 14-150 may be the business. Meanwhile, will the 80-200mm R lens work(with an adapter). Does it need ROM fittings. Will this lens work Leica-R Objektiv 4/80-200mm Vario-Elmar-R ROM 11 281

I can't advise you on the specific lenses you mention but can make a couple of general observations. You do not need ROM contacts and, remember the crop factor. Each R lens you use will effectively double in focal length. So your 80-200mm will behave as a 160-400. A bit unwieldy I would have thought. You will also lose certain functions.
Having said that, I am stunned by the results I get from my elderly R prime lenses.
The supplied kit lens is very good indeed by the way and has a useful range.
