leicatraveller Posted November 17, 2014 Share #1 Posted November 17, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) hello has anyone tried to connect Leica or other cameras to a new generation smartphone for review of photos? i'm interested in last generation of note with a impressive hardware and Qhd screen i m sure its possible to take with you for small trips without carrying a laptop and to review photos on screen, and to save the best photos as back up on SD memory card of phone... my doubt are if its enough powerful for big files produced by Leica M and Sony A7r (36mp !) i know there is a reader of SD cards but i think better if possible to connect directly to camera thanx to all

The display is excellent. Displaymate tested the Note 4 and in Adaptive Mode it was measured to display 130% of sRGB color gamut, the highest for a phone or tablet. I could even view my RAW files using Photo Mate R2 with my Note 4. Use a micro usb OTG card reader to download the files. In fact I am considering using the Note 4 with additioinal micro sd cards to back up my files when I am traveling.
