Default AW: Product Watch: Sony A700 dSLR

Nice decision to keep the 7 in the name.
Does not look bad, but will the camera be able to get enough customers, e.g. from C* or N* ?

Default Re: Product Watch: Sony A700 dSLR

It's about time Sony introduced some higher spec dSLR. I particularly like the Zeiss optics and I really liked the handling of the A100.

But in terms of sales the A100 did not very well and the fact that the new A700 has no live view (though this model is aimed at enthusiast & semi pro photographers who usually don't need/want this feature) isn't really helping.

If I had to choose a dSLR of one of the new ones released this year I'd go for the Nikon D300. Finally a new camera with 100% viewfinder.
