Advertisement Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Hi Stealth3kpl, Take a look here Pentax 645Z. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
ynp Posted April 15, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 15, 2014 My daughter wants the 645z and now she is looking for some lenses . It is affordable and a good upgrade from her DSLR. I am staying with the S System. I hated the interface when tested the previous Pentax 645d model two years ago. Echo63 Posted April 16, 2014 Share #3 Posted April 16, 2014 with the low price, i see it as a "fuller frame" camera for people to lust after, people who don't know any better, but think their images will magically improve by buying a newer camera with a different sensor (and it will, but not as much as they think it will, if they don't learn some new technique too - tripod, mirror lock up) for those who actually need 50mp and a medium format sensor, but can't afford a phase one/mamiya or hasselblad, i think its a great option. I won't be buying one, but thats because i don't need what it can do.
pierovitch Posted April 16, 2014 Share #4 Posted April 16, 2014 One of those cameras that makes you look more professional than the uncle with the D800:)
ynp Posted April 16, 2014 Share #5 Posted April 16, 2014 One of those cameras that makes you look more professional than the uncle with the D800:) Very true. BTW, Leica M alongside the D800 looks very professional too:-) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
kdriceman Posted April 16, 2014 Share #6 Posted April 16, 2014 I won't be buying one either, but it is good to see that someone in the medium format world is willing to break the price barrier. I think this will make some waves. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I think this will make some waves. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk It should make waves, but they need to push it - the 645D they released a few years back didnt really take off the way i expected it too For those who are looking for a step up from the D800 or an old 1DSmk3 or 5D2 - it makes a lot of sense, the only thing that will hold many back are the "slow" primes and lack of zoom lenses (I know that they are fairly typical medium format lens speeds, but many will think "no f1.4 pffftt, what a load of junk")
algrove Posted April 18, 2014 Share #8 Posted April 18, 2014 I might get one in order to make my images better than they are now.

leicatraveller Posted April 23, 2014 Share #12 Posted April 23, 2014 the image will look not better, but if you need really to print big, or you work for magazine who need such quality well its a good option i remember that cartier bresson was carrying a MF film camera since many magazine were not satisfied about quality of 35mm slide (especially for colors photos...) the problem is that now very few magazine will need this quality since they buy photos of every quality (even from iphone)))) ...if cheaper is better, a pro using a MF camera will not sell photos for few USD/euro....
