:rolleyes: If you want a good laugh read the underlying article in The.me. I stopped reading at the point that it claimed the X-Vario was a “Panasonic concept” … I am sure that it contains more gems of wisdom. Edited by jaapv

The x vario was a bit on the "still born " side the X1 and X2 hardly created a ripple so a panaleica is about all Leica seems to be able to offer .............some do remember the LC1/ Digilux success story................. around the 24th of April one will know a yai or nai

In other news, Elvis is dead, the world is not flat, and the pope is Catholic.

Elvis is WHAT???

Everyone knows that can't be true. The Elvis rumour sites report his locations around the world on a regular basis. Deadness is a bourgeois concept.

Back on the original topic, the forum had a brief thread on the design a couple of years ago.

I think the X Vario and othe X cameras are all Panasonic cameras made for Leica exclusively. Has anyone on this forum actually seen where the X's are made? There are videos aroung the web of the M being assembled in Germany but no videos on X cameras being assembled. They just magically appear in boxes.

My neighbour, who says he is Elvis and of course I believe him, kindly asks that this thread be deleted. He is living a quite live now and doesn't want to attract any further attention. Jim Morrison, who lives a bit further down our street, says he really likes the X Vario.

You are quite wrong.

They are made in Portugal and finished in Germany, just like Ms and Ss

Most people have probably accepted that the King is dead. Many also believe that he will return in one or another form. Have a look here and be convinced. The performance has some “dead points”, but it completely takes off towards the end: :)

Here is the original; downturn has started, but his voice is still unsurpassed.

Elvis with an almost prophetic performance:

Have you personally seen this? I'm not saying you are wrong but there haven't been any images of the factory or assembly for the XV on any of the forums I have seen. Why so mysterious and why hide it if this is true? Maybe you could post some images or videos of the facotry making the XV and the assembly line at Leica in Germany.

Conspiracy theories are fascinating. Thank you for inventing one.:) I’m sure you are aware that Shakespeare’s plays were not written by Shakespeare himself but by somebody entirely different of the same name…

In normal practice somebody making a wild assertion has the burden of proof. So come clean with your photographs of this secret assembly line in Japan.

Otherwise we are stuck with a when-did-you-stop-beating-your-wife type of question.
