Hi there,

I don't know if this has been discussed already, forgive me if yes, but what about the rumored T-Series? Any news?

What about the following idea, would that work?

Could a T-Series be a camera body concept (regardless if based on APS-C, FF, or some "in-between" sensor ratio) which will support new autofocus lenses (to save income for Leica) with a mount which would be designed for the this new AF lenses, but which would be 100& compatible (without the need of an adapter) for R-Lenses?

And therefore the T-System might be the "replacement"/ solution for "older" R-customers, even so it was originally never planned to release a "Digital"-R, but because the market has changed so significantly (with Sony A7, with the big (? not sure if it really is) success of the X-Series system from Fuji?

What do you thing? A dream? Hope? Totally unrealistic? Stupid?

If you are looking for a R replacement, prepare to be disappointed:

If the rumors the were circulating a month ago are to be believed, the T would seem to aimed a price point below the X series.

They showed something that looked a generation behind Sony's APS-C and Panasonic's GX series cameras ; in particular no inbuilt EVF.

Having low expectations, I hope to be surprised when something better emerges, but am not counting on it.

I do believe a M series body that replaced the OVF/RF with an EVF would be a winner - but it would probably only be 20% less than the M.240.

A body that mounted R lenses without an adapter would look very boxy - Pentax tried this and it was ugly as hell.
