I was hesitant to send my 50mm Summilux-M to New Jersey for coding, since it's my favorite lens and the mainstay of my Leica kit. The guys at Ace Photo in Sterling, VA told me "no problem, it willl be back in a month".
So, on March 13 I gave it to them and they shipped it to Leica. Today I picked it up at the store, all cleaned and coded, looking like a new old friend. Leica NJ did a beautiful job and the turnaround time was 25 days inclusive (it arrived at Ace on Friday). Since I had recently bought a 75mm Summilux, the coding was free. I merely paid $25 for shipping. That's good service from Leica and Ace Photo! |
