Here is a link to the photo forum where I have posted some images I took yesterday at the UK FOI show in Birmingham. All taken with M8, no flash and Biogon 35mm.

The one I spent longest on was Aperture, which I really like as a program. However as I posted on another thread, when I asked when full DNG support was coming along, the guy I spoke to, asked who made the DNG camera as he had not heard of it - yes really!!! Spoke to a very helpful guy on the Apple stand who told me which buttons to push at Applecare 2nd level technical support to try and get my Intel iMac Airport problem sorted. He could not believe that they had been messing me about on this since mid-December. Bought a couple of nice books, some Ilford paper at a good price, another Sandisk Extreme III 2 gig SD card and some CR123A batteries at only £2 each. Managed to resist a Manfrotto carbon monopod and a 4" x 5" Chinese wooden camera, with some difficulty. I still have a hankering after a large format, even though I know in reality, I would barely ever use it. Met some other forum members which was nice and finally gave the M8 some exercise. All in all I enjoyed my day and the trains even worked well - someone must be smiling on me. Now my ankles and knees this morning - that is another story. Wilson |

I was more interested in the young Russian lady but she drew back out of sight when she saw the Leica. Wilson |

BTW, mine was the only M8 I saw on view at FOI. 1DSMkII's and D2X's were commonplace. I had quite a few people come up and ask if they might look at it. Virtually every stand I called at, showed interest. One guy came up and asked if he could hold it - I said no - now if it had been the Russian girl on the Phase One stand, she might have received a different answer.
