B&H doesn't have a queue for some items such as the M8. It's first come, first served. Larry |

B&H NEVER takes pro-orders on any new product , when they recieve them on there loading dock than they post them for sale. They pre-order for themseleves to the manufacturers and what comes in gets placed in the queue. They have done this for years. I bought many camera's like this that just hit the market. When they get them than we do if your lucky to get in the queue

Ordered one this morning ... thanks for the headsup folks - now this is really an impulse purchase. Frequenting this board is like playing with a loaded handgun ... you know the trigger will be pulled sooner or later.
![]() The silver ones are simply less popular these days ... maybe they should try making a gold plated one. ![]() |

I was told by dealer that production of M8's has been shifted heavily weighted to Black, due to popular demand. True, no idea, but seems to be much less silver than blacks now.

The availability of M8s from stock at more than one dealership suggests that supply has finally caught up with demand ... what happened to all those people on the waiting lists? How did the six-months to a year backlog get satisfied in less than four months? And what are the implications of this for Leica? Hmm...

So my silver M8 will be more rare now! That is good. Not because I want to sell, but because then the throngs of people with M8s will all be using blacks, and my silver one will stand out
![]() I actually love both. It is amazing what a different look and feel they have though, considering it is just a colour (and material). If I ever get more seriously involved to the point where I need a backup, I will have one of each. |
