Canon Flash on M8?

Does anyne know if it is possible to use a Canon speedlite 580 on the M8? I don't want to kill either one of them, but maybe it is no problem at all.

You won't kill anything, but you'll lose all functionality.

That sounds almost as bad as killing it. No, it's not dead, it just has no functionality whatsoever left at all

But i guess you mean it will fire but no TTL, first or second curtain flash choice, or anything else automatic?

I never even tried it, but I would say TTL measuring as well as all goodies.... I understand your wish, I have a 550 for sale right now....
