Default Question: DNG and low-sharpening

Looks like if you set it to DNG in the Picture Menu, you are not allowed to set Sharpening to Low in the Main Menu.

But, if you reset the Main Menu, the Picture Menu is also reset to UserProfile-0, which has FineJPG.

Somehow, they are mutally exclusive.

Am I reading the manual correctly?

Sharpening, contrast, saturation settings do not apply to DNG files.

OK, that made sense. Does it apply to ColorSpace as well? Thanks, Mike!

it should apply to colorspace also.

note that if you set DNG+JPEG, you can set all of those parameters, but they only apply to the JPEG, of course.

In most cameras, the JPEG settings are also used in the display of the LCD preview, thus affecting the histogram...I don't know if that is also true of the M8, a quick test should tell you (I don't get mine for another week or two).
