Default Most Basic Capture One Question

I've managed to download DNG files to my MAC, can access them on C1, and can process them. Now what? How do I save the processed file? And when I do so, how do I save the original raw file as well?

I've never used a raw processor before, and can't recall any program I've used that is so obscure.

Please help. Thanks in advance.

You have transferred the original raw file (DNG) to your computer. It doesn't change. When you develop the raw file you then save as jpeg, tiff et al and the original raw file remains.

The tab "process" gives you your save as options. Click on the first icon in the batch box to add an image; the last icon allows you to choose where to save your developed image.

More details in Help under "process images".

You can develop the original again at a later date with a different package, Lightroom, for example.

Hi, Stephen,

Once you the image is processed, it's automatically saved within the folder you choose. The RAW image stays intact and the adjustment settings you've applied to the RAW file is recorded in a different file.

There're five tabs reading "Process", "Focus", "Exposure", White Balance" and "Capture" on the right hand side of the preview pane, go to the tab "process", find the little green folder that's where you set the place to put the processed the images.

Cheers,
