farnz Posted March 24, 2009 Share #8 Posted March 24, 2009 I was chasing someone reliable for out of warranty service. Rob, I hear that Big Mick from Bulmakena's pretty handy with a screwdriver and a hammer as long as he's got himself outside a couple of jugs of bushwater. Pete. rob_x2004 Posted March 24, 2009 Author Share #9 Posted March 24, 2009 Im thinking of using CESS Perth. In their tools inventory they list a power hacksaw which would save me a bit of elbow grease when I start cutting up my in warranty Leica kit and sending it back in little bits to Solms. antistatic Posted March 24, 2009 Share #10 Posted March 24, 2009 I've bought plenty of stuff from Camera Electronic. Not needed repairs yet (touch wood). They have been straight forward to deal with and have a reputation for being fair. You would be unlikely to get a bargin from them as they enjoy a bit of a monopoly here in Perth. I've dealt with them on and off since about 1980, and had them service a IIIg a couple of years ago.
