What exactly would that be? That you were just spreading an unsupportable rumor when you said that a digital CL is "more than just a rumor"? A few posts back you admitted you were just "ruminating" and "speculating"...so, I don't see where I was wrong. With all due respect, if anyone's ranting desperately, it's you.

I've called you out before to take this personal axe you seem to want to continue to grind off this forum and I'm doing it again because I really don't want (and I doubt anyone else here wants) to hear you grasping at straws to cover up your sarcasm and insults.
The only insults in this thread were made by you. And the only thing I've needed to grasp at were facts...

And like I said before, I have no interest in an offline conversation with you, because if your attitude on the forum where you feel a little--very little so it seems--restrained by netiquette is any indication, I don't want to even think about what's gonna come out of your mouth offline.

That's interesting...could you post a link to where you read that? Or did you hear it from one of your "reliable" sources?

Since reading is not your strong suit jimmypro I agree it will do no good to continue this "discussion." Apparently where you come from referring to what people say as BS doesn't translate to calling them liars, referring to someone's friends, co-workers's and for all you know family as "blabbermouth idiots" is not insulting, referring to someone's ideas or posts as "dumb" is common place with you and erroneous accusations are a way of life. You started your whole rant on a false premise without checking facts or reading. You try to prove a point by taking statements out of context and when you are proven wrong want to claim you are the one who is being insulted. I'm done entertaining fools on this thread, and since you don't have the courage of your convictions to continue it elsewhere rant on here to your hearts delight, I'm done with you until the fall.

I'm sure everyone else on this thread you refer to as fools, join me in hoping you mean it when you say you're done.

So if a digital CL must be launched next year according to rumors here and there it cannot be anything else than a APS-C camera in my most humble opinion.
Apart the last litigations, funny as always... , I think taht we have spoken so much of this CL that Leica MUST announce it, at least for respect to US !!! Lct, as a lawyer you should have studied a little Latin ... doesn't this CL issue seem apt to the old sentence "PUTANT QUOD CUPIUNT" ?

About the format of the CL sensor... my speculations are uncertain ...
1) If it will be APS-C, they MUST announce also a "Summarit" around 16-20 mm... they must have a decent wa for this CL.
2) If it will be like M8's, to avoid M8 cannibalizing, they could risk the way of REDUCING to 7,5/8 the Mpixel... uhm... good for M8, but very bad vs. the market in itself... less than 10 nowadays sounds miserable, right or not it is.
3) If it will be exactly the same as M8... they MUST announce some significant M8 improvement... more Mpixel or FF ... probably, something not fit for upgrading present M8s... and that would be bad for us M8 users.

Probably the 1st option is the less risky... your hipotesis is the most probable... and, to continue the CL equivalence, the new lens (-es ?) could maybe have some declared limitation on classic Leicas... "not optimal coverage on film..." "use on film Leicas NOT recommended..."

Hehe! yes a different filter thread and a sloping focus cam would be great as well.
