Leica and Hasselblad
A Selection of Classic Cameras from the David Whitmire Hearst Jr. Foundation Collection
October 25, 2008 - January 04, 2009
Opening Reception: October 25, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Leica and Hasselblad: A Selection of Classic Cameras from the David Whitmire Hearst Jr. Foundation Collection presents publicly for the first time some of the classic cameras from the extensive Hearst Collection. Leica and Hasselblad! There are few machines in the modern world which call up visions of iconic polished, precision instruments and at the same time evoke the visual images that have both documented our age and created our visual and media world. To add context to these extraordinary cameras, the exhibition presents these cameras together with images they made that have become the iconic photographic images of our time.
