There might be several reasons for the M8 price not to go up: Apparently one of the former CEO´s (Lee) bigger mistakes was the incredible price increase of the M8 body at the end of last year. This price increase has lead to a substantial decrease in M8 sales. A very intelligent measure if at the same time the same management intends to boost lens sales with the new Summicron series. How do you sell lenses if nobody buys your body?

Another price increase would have dramatic consequences for Leica. Also Leica will come with some new stuff around the M8, not the best time for price increases neither...

If someone seriously wants a Noctilux, new in box, from a dealer, I can point you at one from new stock (i.e. coded etc) today available for US list price ....
