Blinzeln Using the new 50 f 2.5 lens

I just received my first box of Fuji Astia 100 back from their lab. To shoot that roll I used my new 50 f 2.5 along with the metal lens hood and cover. May I say that to my eye all the slides came out brilliantly. The colors were awesome and I did not notice any vignetting or other problems. I shot primarily with a great depth of field and the detail held up beautifully.
The only two problems I encountered were, one: the lens hood. It only screws on and does not have a firm "click" or lock in place. It does line up perfectly with the lens but it is very easy to turn it. The second problem I have is the focus and aperture rings. They are very narrow and difficult to work with, with the camera held up to the eye.

Other than the above two mentioned items the lens is a joy to use, being practically weightless. I am looking forward to using it with some B&W ISO 400 and see how dark I can take it, handholding.

Cheers
