For those of you who (have to) take their valuable gear to rough locations: don't forget to always close your bag! Look at this: www.dumpert.nl - Air Force II haat media

LOL! Yeah, I bet those guys won't be posting tributes to zipperless, lightly-padded camera bags anymore. Domke just lost a few customers.

Regardless of gear bag type, always avoid jet exhaust:

One needs to be careful of wind always. I have fallen several times on debris covered by leaves. If the bag had not been closed!
I live near Chicago and Lake Michigan. A grandfather has his grandson in a stroller and he was resting in a pier bench. A wind came up and blew the baby off the pier into the cold lake. The man went after the child, but the baby was underwater 10 minutes by the time the fire dept heliocopter got there. By last report on the news, baby is improving. The area is an accident waiting to happen. There are no guard rails anywhere on the lakefront piers and corrigated metal has been pushed into the lake bed around the piers and lakeshore to control erosion. If you go in, there is no way to get out no matter how well you can swim unless you can climb a vertical wall. Not even a place to hold on a wait for help. I recommend you look at the F16 video at the same place on the link. |
