I'd assume that it is not rangefinder coupled - you'll need to estimate focus based on the distance markings on the lens. The depth of field should be pretty extensive on a 12mm lens, so focus shouldn't be too difficult to pin down.

The lens isn't coupled to the camera rangefinder

The DOF is so deep, you should not have any issues getting things in focus. On an M7, you have problem finding things to put in the frame, making sure that your body parts like feet and fingers are not in the frame, keeping it level, and stop having fun.
On an M8... you will have the same problems, but to a lesser degree, but the fun is still there My 15mm... @ 5.6 my DOF is from 3ft to infinity or 1 meter to infinity. Both the 12 & 15 are not RF focus coupled. Start having fun!! Robert. |
