Thanks so much for the pointer.
Very thought provoking. I went straight to the shelf and looked at my copy of "The Americans" again. I will print that article and keep it in the book.

I just picked up a copy of Camera Work - Anthology. One of the joys is reading the pencil notes and loose leaf insertions left by an anonymous previous owner. I hope one day my insertion gives joy to another owner.

Thanks for the heads-up; not only was the article interesting but I could forward it to a photographer friend who has just had to put 2 signed R. Franck's for sale, very reluctantly.
