A couple of Minilux questions

Hello everybody,

I'm new to this forum, but a Leica enthusiast since many years.

I recently re-discovered my good-old Minilux and, hoping the E02 error will not arrive, I am having a lot of fun with it (much more than with my other bunch of digital cameras).

Unfortunately I lost the instructions manual, so here I am with a couple of questions:

> When using manual focus, is there any indication of correct focusing (in the viewfinder blinking lights) or it is an entirely manual affair?

> Is it possible to find the manual in PDF format somewhere on the Net?

Thanks in advance to anyone that may help!

Regards, M.

Hello M. Barsotti

You are quite right, the Minilux is a superb compact-camera, I got mine in june 1995 and I have taken hundreds of film with it, though for the last 2 yers I have not been using it.

But manual focus is manual fucus - no signal.

The instructions to the minilux on page 16 only tells about depth of field

Hello,

I am a minilux owner since July 2008. Shot 7 rolls (5 color print, 1 b/w and 1 slide) until now and I am amazed by the results. Feel free to visit my flickr page:

I want to try manual shooting but the users guide do not help me much about these settings. Can anyone explain me how to use aperture settings? I have visited some websites to learn about it but still not covered it.

I basically shoot landscape outdoor photos in sunny or partly cloudy days.

I also try to make portraits shoots indoor/outdoor.

If you can share your knowledge on correct aperture settings or some interesting links for a beginner like me, I would appreciate.

thanks,

Ethem
