ronaldh Posted January 29, 2015 Share #1 Posted January 29, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just received an email from LFI advertising the Photographer Hoody: http://lfi-online.de/ceemes/webfile/img/1226129/YToxOntzOjE6IngiO3M6MzoiMzAwIjt9/CO-140924-Apparel-MS-6817.jpg#1500x1500 So much for the discreet Leica, taped over and in its bag-that-doesnt-look-like-a-camera-bag. But at least it features a"lens cleaning cloth in hidden, zippable pocket" , so if my M is ever stolen there is a good chance that I will at least keep the cleaning cloth. Herr Barnack Posted January 30, 2015 Share #2 Posted January 30, 2015 (edited) The design on this hoodie is intended as a form of economic stimulus. Here's how it works - 1: Photographer buys Leica hoodie for 119€ ($135 USD) - stimulating the economy. 2: Photographer's wife retaliates by buying new shoes for 265€ ($300 USD) - stimulating the economy. 3: Photographer wears hoodie while shooting, making him/her a target for robbers. 4: Robbers steal photographer's Leica gear, fence it and spend the money - stimulating the economy. 5: Photographer files claim with insurance company, recovers the cost of stolen gear, then buys replacement gear - stimulating the economy. 6: Photographer's camera insurance premiums skyrocket, improving insurance company's profits and shareholder's dividend checks - stimulating the economy. 7: Photographer curses hoodie, robbers and insurance company as he donates the hoodie to the Salvation Army who in turn sells it for 17€ ($20 USD) to one of the robbers - stimulating the economy. 8: Photographer buys a plain gray hoodie at Target for $20 USD to replace the Leica hoodie - stimulating the economy. 9: Photographer's wife rails and bitches at photographer for giving away $135 USD Leica hoodie, forcing him to go to the corner bar and consume numerous shots of single malt scotch - stimulating the economy. It's sort of the economic version of the circle of life - or the predator food chain, if you prefer.
