I have a M240, and 3 lenses, 21, 35 and 75 as well as a few additional accessories. I've been eyeing the Filson Camera Field Bag. It looks like it may fit my gear. Anyone have experience with it?

From what I have read online, the Filson/Magnum bags won't be available for purchase till the end of June or later. I am waiting to see the backpack as it looks interesting.

I have used other Filson gear for 10+ years and have never been disappointed in anything Filson makes. Their materials and craftsmanship are outstanding.

I hefted some of the smaller Filson bags recently, and was surprised at how heavy they are. There's no way I could comfortably carry the small briefcase all day, and the Magnum bag is larger still.

They do look nice though !

Camera Field Bag | Filson

Hi, I purchased the Filson Camera Field Bag as I have the exact same setup (M240 and 21/35/75) and have used Filson Field Bags in the past. While I found the bag to be typical of Filson's quality materials and construction, it was too big for me. With the 35 on the camera and the other lenses in separate compartments, there was still a lot of room left over inside the bag—enough for 2-3 more lenses.

I've returned it for now, hoping that they will come out with something smaller; perhaps closer to their small Field Bags. Of course, if you're looking for a larger bag, then I'd certainly recommend Filson. Again, great quality stuff and a lifetime guarantee.

I returned the messenger bag. It was too big as well and I didn't like the inside. Just picked up the Billingham Combination. Its perfect for my 240, 21, 35, 75 and accessories.

You could get a smaller Filson bag and customize it by adding a ready made insert that fits another bag (or by making one yorself).

I do this frequently since I have yet to find the mythical "perfect" camera bag of legend and lore.

Awesome bag but it was too high for me. Lots of unusable space. Not stealthy enough. Got this instead:
